Who is affected: 
Anyone trying to use the IBM SPSS v24 for software on a windows computer in the computer labs UPDATE: Licensing for SPSS version 25 has been added to the license server for SPSS. Version 25 can now be deployed in the labs. Update: V25 is now being deployed to Office computer, Labs and Classrooms. If you have any problems with SPSS (any version) please call the help desk 826-4357. UPDATE #3: SPSS remains unstable. We are working with IBM to understand the problem. Students, and faculty who are using SPSS should save work often, and report problems to the Technology Help Desk.
Affected in what way: 
After using the program the program will become unresponsive. Only a forced restart of SPSS will allow you to continue and some progress may be lost. UPDATE: Licensing for SPSS version 25 has been added to the license server for SPSS. Version 25 can now be deployed in the labs.
Workaround: 
N/A; Anyone who is using SPSS on Windows computers should save their work often and report any issues to the Technology Help Desk at 826-4357. We do not think SPSS for Macintosh is affected.
What happened: 
An issue with SPSS 24 was discovered in the labs and its license server needs to be updated so SPSS 25 can be deployed on campus to address the issue. UPDATE #3: SPSS remains unstable.
