Telephone Devices

The majority of staff and faculty members are allocated a telephone and extension number when they become associated with HSU; some employees may share a phone.

The Telecommunications & Network Services group (TNS) supports three different phone models on campus, one analog and two digital:

  • Analog phones offer basic functionality similar to a standard home telephone, including voicemail and volume control.
  • Digital phones offer a range of business features – speaker phone, mute, conference call, call forwarding, and programmable keys - in addition to the basic functionality.
