TNS Service Level Agreement

Telecommunications and Network Services TNS is ceasing the practice of charging cost recovery billing to stateside entities starting in the 20/21 Fiscal year

Baseline Service Definition: All stateside campus employees and student work areas will be provided with a network connection and phone at their assigned workspaces. Typically this will be one phone and one network jack, however a second network jack will be provided at no cost when business need dictates. Department offices will additionally have network connections for shared printers and copiers as well as faxes as needed. Academic use areas (ex. computer labs, classrooms) will be provided with sufficient network connections to match the number of workstations. Wireless connectivity will continue to be made available widely across campus. Phone equipment will be refreshed on a rolling basis based on funding budgeted annually as part of this financial model.

Requests for moves, adds, and changes will continue to route through department key advisors. There are no TNS charges for these changes unless there is a facilities infrastructure charge (for example on adding jacks). Any facilities charges would be the responsibility of the requesting department.

Campus funded construction projects may have telecom and networking charges.
