Office Printing for Staff & Faculty
Here’s how to get up and running with printing on campus.
Getting started
Your office computer has been configured to print to the printers in your department, so you should be able to simply select your target printer from the Print dialogue box in the applications you use.
If your department’s printers do not show up in the Print dialogue box, or you experience problems printing, please contact the Technology Help Desk at x4357 or submit a Help Desk ticket.
Wired and wireless printing
Wired printing (via the network) is the preferred, and more reliable, method of printing on campus. If your computer is connected to the network via an Ethernet cable, you should have no issues with printing.
Wireless printing is available via the eduroam network, so you’ll need to register with eduroam on your Humboldt-owned laptop before using this approach.
If you are unable to connect to eduroam or experience a problem printing via the wired or wireless networks, please contact the Technology Help Desk at x4357 or submit a Help Desk ticket.
Printer purchasing
If you need to purchase an additional printer for your office or department, please visit the Computer & Printer Purchasing for Staff & Faculty to choose the device that's right for your needs. If you decide you need assistance choosing the correct hardware, please submit a Help Desk ticket and we will be happy to assist.
