Our Mission
We are here to support the learning, teaching, research/creative activities, service, and operational computing needs of Cal Poly Humboldt (Humboldt) students, faculty, and staff. Our goal is to provide consistent, high-quality service that enhances the campus community’s effectiveness in carrying out Humboldt’s mission while maintaining control over the cost of that service.

Best Practices
- We will adopt an “early follower” strategy, implementing proven or established technology within our existing information technology environment.
- We will follow the best practices of the industry and our peer institutions, recognizing the unique challenges faced by educational institutions.
- We will avoid striking out on our own and reinventing wheels, instead bringing the community together around existing solutions and working cooperatively with other institutions.
- We will adopt the “Concept of One”: Do it once. Do it right. Use it everywhere.
